Get the work
into perspective.
Know the device, understand the workflow and keep the project files you want to retain.
Start with supported LiDAR hardware.
Scanning needs a supported LiDAR-equipped iPhone or iPad, camera access and iOS/iPadOS 26 or later. The app checks capture support on the device. An OS version alone does not mean a device has LiDAR.
iPhone and iPad have their own layouts. Complete project backups provide a manual transfer path; the app does not automatically synchronize projects between devices.
One saved scan. Several perspectives.
- Capture the existing space. Move carefully through the room and include walls, corners and openings. Follow the app's capture guidance.
- Save and review. Quick plans open before detailed reconstruction. Choose Walls for a clean outline, Layout for detected openings and built-ins, or Contents for supported retained furniture. Architectural 3D offers matching choices, shaded openings and optional low walls.
- Explore detailed grayscale 3D. Detailed reconstruction uses saved depth observations and monochrome camera photographs. New completed models show grayscale photo detail where the recording supports it. Rotate the model, adjust a ceiling cut, enter the room or inspect Solid, Solid + edges and Wireframe views. Photographs add appearance; they do not create missing geometry. Processing time and storage needs vary.
- Add context and export. Add job, client and site details, room/floor notes, selected photos, reference checks and saved-view markup. Prepare a job report or export for the next discussion.
The live coverage gauge and scan-again guidance help you review observations while recording. Pause/Resume and manual Finish keep capture under your control. Detailed processing can continue while you review plans in the same workspace; closing the workspace pauses it with saved checkpoints. This does not promise processing while using another app.
Capture coverage and processing settings do not establish a guaranteed accuracy range. Verify critical dimensions independently before construction or fabrication.
Look over the room. Then look around inside.
Ceiling cuts: in a completed Detailed 3D model, use Hide ceiling and the Cut height slider to reveal the interior from above. Adjust the viewing height to bring the useful room context into view.
In-room views: use Enter room, or double-tap a visible floor. Drag to look around; hold the labeled movement controls to move or change height. Exit room returns to the outside view.
These are viewing controls and do not alter the saved scan. They show recorded surfaces; missing or unseen geometry does not become a captured result when you change the viewpoint.
Keep the details with the project.
Organize scans in projects and add room names, measurements, plan edits and notes. Reopen the saved work for a later planning discussion.
Separate scan sessions can be manually aligned using shared features for building review. For 2–12 supported, already placed recordings, recorded-overlap review can propose a conservative small rigid refinement. Inspect the result and its evidence before accepting; ambiguous matches may be rejected. Automatic global registration and automatic before/after change detection are not included.
Measure, mark up and document the job.
3D measurements: on completed Detailed 3D, pick visible surfaces for distance, horizontal distance, absolute height difference, a three-point angle or one planar area boundary. Save a name and source information with the result. Area uses 3–64 ordered boundary points and does not support holes. Old measurements can need review when their source or placement changes.
Independent reference checks: record tape or laser readings alongside the corresponding dimension. Report-value corrections are reversible and retain original values and geometry. They do not recalibrate the sensor or rescale a scanned model.
Pencil & markup: in the job workspace, annotate a saved plan, selected context photo or saved model view with Apple Pencil on compatible iPad hardware, or with touch. Draw, highlight, erase, select and undo/redo; save and reopen editable drawings. Markup belongs to a saved view, rather than a measured drafting plane or a 3D surface.
Job report: save client/site/job information, room/floor notes, selected photos, model views and measurement schedules. Choose which photo and markup pages enter the multi-page PDF. Save a job revision and create the PDF, measurement CSV and 2D DXF from the workspace.
Measurements are estimates. Compare critical dimensions with an independent method before construction or fabrication; a drawing grid or a precise numeric display does not establish sensor accuracy.
Choose the file that fits the discussion.
- PDF: an architectural plan reference using the selected contents, or a multi-page job report with job details, measurement schedules and chosen photo/markup pages.
- 2D DXF: meter-based R2000 drawing geometry and text annotations, with named layers and one file per floor. Dimensions are anchored annotations, not associative CAD dimensions. This is a 2D handoff, not a BIM model.
- SVG: a vector architectural plan reference using the selected plan contents.
- CSV: exported plan/measurement data in meters; a separate detected-contents file records retained object bounds and their source/frame.
- Grayscale OBJ: full measured geometry with MTL materials and grayscale images from a completed detailed model. Detailed reconstruction must finish first.
- Complete project backup: saved project files that can be retained outside the app and restored.
Supported furniture uses approximate detected bounds and only categories retained during capture; older recordings cannot recover classifications that were never saved. Plan viewing and PDF/SVG labels support Metric and Imperial units. CSV source data remains in meters. Native DWG, IFC and Revit deliverables are not part of the current workflow.
Keep a complete copy outside the app.
- Open the project's backup and export controls.
- Prepare a complete project backup and save the resulting file outside the app.
- Use Restore backup from the library to import a complete backup when needed.
Keep the backup somewhere you can access independently of the app. Removing the app removes its local projects. A complete backup is also the manual transfer path between devices; transferring a project does not create cloud synchronization.
Your projects stay local until you choose otherwise.
The current workflow captures and reconstructs on the device, with no app account required. Saved originals can include camera, depth and pose observations, alongside plans, models, job/client/site details, reference readings, notes, chosen photos and editable drawings.
You choose when to export, share or save a backup outside the app. Device/system backups and the storage service you choose are separate from the app's local processing.

One planned annual offer.
The proposed US offer is $149.99/year, billed annually, with a 14-day introductory trial for eligible new subscribers. It renews automatically unless canceled. The app is in beta, and subscriptions are not yet available.
The planned policy keeps existing saved work viewable, exportable and recoverable after expiry. New capture, editing and processing require active Pro access. Final price, eligibility and terms will be shown in the actual App Store purchase flow at launch.
